#2 Ohio State vs. #10 Michigan State (Big Ten Championship Game): This was one of the most exciting games in the Big Ten all season long, and all the build up was worth sitting in front of the television and watching this game inprime time. Michigan State heard the conversation and the media hype all week long from people who were putting Ohio State in the national championship game.
The Spartans spoiled the Buckeyes celebration defeating Ohio State 34-24. Michigan State QB Connor Cook played exceptionally well passing for 304 yards with thee touchdowns, though he wasn’t perfect, tossing one interception. Cook stayed poised throughout the entire football game and made plays for that Spartan offense. Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown. Ohio State made some mistakes early and found themselves down 17-0 early in the game. Buckeye QB Braxton Miller turned things around and did show why he is the best player in the Big Ten Confernce passing for 101 yards and a touchdown, also rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns. With some questionable play calling late for Ohio State offense, Michigan State #1 defense in the country capitalized and got huge stops for Sparty. The Spartans will represent the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl, and Ohio State will play in the Orange Bowl, a bitter sweet consolation prize.
