There’s only one week of play left until the pivotal Big Ten Championship game. Ohio Staet looks destined to have a spot, but their big rival Michigan is hoping to play spoiler. Let’s take a closer look at the week ahead in the Big Ten.

Iowa (away) vs. Nebraska (home): Iowa rolls past Nebraska the day after Thanksgiving 38-17. The Hawkeye defense held Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah in check keeping him under 100 yards with Abdullah only picking up 85 yards on the ground. Iowa was led by Jake Rudock 126 yards and two touchdowns. #JYPREDICTION: IOWA

Purdue (away) vs. Indiana (home): Purdue has had a difficult year getting wins, but like every rivalry at the end of the season records go out the window. Purdue fought hard last week, and I expect the same effort against the Hoosiers. Indiana has too much offense for that young Boilermaker defense to contain. #JYPREDICTION: Indiana

Minnesota (away) vs. #11 Michigan St. (home): Ever since Connor Cook has taken over quarterback responsibilities for Michigan State, the Spartans have been unstoppable. Defensively Michigan State can shut down any team, but offensively it was tough to move the football until Cook took over. I’m expecting another great performance as Sparty perpares for Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game. #JYPREDICTION: Michigan St

Illinois (home) vs. Northwestern (away): Northwestern season has been disappointing for Wildcat fans who had high expectations for Northwestern this season. Having yet to win a Big Ten game this season, I think that streak continues going on the road to face Illinois. Nathan Scheelhaase will have another opportunity to pull off his second win in a row. #JYPREDICTION: Illinois

#3 Ohio State (away) vs. Michigan (home): Michigan and Ohio State have a rivalry that is as historic as the Red Sox vs. Yankees, Lakers vs Celtics, Bears vs Packers etc. This year, its been a challenging season for the Michigan Wolverines. After losing to Penn State in overtime, Michigan has seemed to lost their mojo. Ohio State is focused on a Big Ten Championship and a National Championship appearance. Buckeye stars Braxton Miller and Carlos Hyde will lead their team past the Wolverines. #JYPREDICTION: Ohio State

Penn State (away) vs. #15 Wisconsin (home): Penn State has played a good season and with no bowl game appearance for another year due to NCAA sanctions, this will be the final game of the season for Penn State. Christian Hackenberg has seen some tough defenses this seaaon, but Wisconsin may be the most complete team the Freshman super star QB have seen all year. The Badgers in my opinion have the most improved player in the entire country in QB Joel Stave. With his growth it has made Wisconsin more and more dangerous. Stave will lead the Badgers to another victory. JYPREDICTION: Wisconsin
