Saturday, November 9th

Illinois (away) vs. Indiana (home): Usually a quarterback who throws for 450 yards and three touchdowns has a chance to lead his team to victory. For Nathan Scheelhaase, it wasn’t the case, as Illinois lost 52-35. Indiana’s rushing attack dismantled the Illini defense with 371 yards on the ground led by RB Tevin Coleman (215 yards and two touchdowns), and Stephen Houston (150 yards and two touchdowns). Hoosier QB Nate Sudfeld passed for 267 yards and three touchdowns. #JYPREDICTION: Indiana

Purdue (home) vs. Iowa (away): Iowa QB Jake Rudock passed for 191 yards and two touchdowns to lead his Hawkeye team past the young Boilermakers 38-14. Hawkeye RB Jordan Canzeri rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown. #JYPREDICTION: Iowa

Penn State (away) vs. Minnesota (home): When you’re hot, you’re hot, and that’s Minnesota Golden Gophers reputation this late in the season. It was the battle of the secondaries and Minnesota came out on the winning end, which was key in their victory over the Nittany Lions. Penn State freshmen QB Christian Hackenberg passed for 163 yards. The Gopher’s secondary broke up a lot of passes and made plays on the ball to keep Hackenberg’s targets out the endzone. Zack Zwinak did rush for 150 yards and a touchdown for Penn State, but Philip Nelson of Minnesota stole the show with 186 yards passing and a touchdown, also rushing for 40 yards with a touchdown. David Cobb led the Gophers rushing the football with 139 yards and a touchdown. Minnesota goes to 8-2 on the season with a 24-10 victory over Penn State. #JYPREDICTION: Penn State

Michigan (home) vs. Nebraska (away): Michigan’s problems continue as they were defeated at home against Nebraska. The Corn Huskers handed Coach Brady Hoke his first defeat in the “Big House.” Nebraska was led by RB Ameer Abdullah who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown. Tommy Armstrong jr took the snaps for the Corn Huskers passing for 139 yards and a touchdown. Michigan has to figure out how to revive their running game. The Wolverines again rushed for negative yards (-27). Devin Gardner passed for 196 yards but had no touchdowns. Nebraska came out on top 17-13 and improves to 7-2 on the season 4-1 in Big Ten play. #JYPREDICTION: Michigan

#24 Wisconsin (home) vs. BYU (away): Wisconsin running game and physical defense was at its best in their victory over BYU 27-17. Badger RB James White led the team in rushing with 147 yards and two touchdowns also receiving 41 yards and a touchdown. Wisconsin QB Joel Stave passed for 196 yards and a touchdown. BYU QB was pressured all game and did make some plays but faced a gritty defense he hasn’t seen all season. Taysom Hill passed for 207 yards and two touchdowns, also got picked off once. Hill also rushed for 51 yards against Wisconsin. The Badgers may be the scariest football to face in the entire country. #JYPREDICTION: Wisconsin
