Indiana (away) vs.  Michigan State (home):  Michigan State was impressive on both sides of the football this past weekend against Indiana.  With homecoming in East Lansing, the Spartans made sure everyone would have an enjoyable weekend by securing the victory over the Hoosiers 42-28.  Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford had a monster day rushing for 109 yards and three touchdown, and also got a receiving touchdown of an 11 yard pass by QB Connor Cook.  Cook has given Michigan State an offensive threat to go along with that stifling defense.  He passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns.  Hoosier QB Tre Roberson passed for 122 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 20 yards.  Michigan State has been more impressive each week now that the QB controversy is settled.  Connor Cook is the man for the Spartans.  With an offense that can score points, to go along with an elite defensive unit, Michigan State is dangerous. #JYPREDICTION: Michigan State

#18 Michigan (away) vs. Penn State (home):  Penn State head coach Bill O’brien has a super star in QB Christian Hackenberg.  Its hard to believe this kid is a freshman and he’s just 18 years old.  Hackenberg is a big time player, with massive confidence, and his leadership has been tremendous.  In front of 108,000 fans in Happy Valley, homecoming for Penn State University, people in attendance as well as those who watched the game on television were in for a real treat.  It took four overtimes to crown a winner, but the resilient Nittany Lions, despite everything their program has been through upset, the Michigan Wolverines 43-40.  Hackenberg passed for 305 yards with three touchdowns also threw two interceptions.  Bill Belton rushed for 85 yards and scored the go-ahead winning touchdown in overtime to seal the victory.  Belton also caught three receptions for 26 yards.  Michigan defense kept them in the game with all the plays they made, scoring points, and getting turnovers led by their emotional leader DE Frank Clark.  The Wolverines had opportunities to pull this win out, but Brendan Gibbons missed a couple game winning field goals which gave Penn State an opportunity to hang around.  Devin Gardner played well passing for 240 yards with three touchdowns and rushing for 121 yards.  Gardner did throw two interceptions, but his overall performance was all heart and he single handly put his football team in position to be victorious.  Christian Hackenberg’s play was exceptional, and with a huge forth down call by Coach O’Brien to go for it in overtime, defined the character of this Penn State program; tough.    #JYPREDICTION: Michigan

Nebraska (away) vs. Purdue (home):  Nebraska handled the young Purdue Boilermaker team very well winning the game 44-7.  Ameer Abdullah rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown to lead the Corn Huskers.  Purdue’s Freshman QB Danny Etling played pretty solid with 184 yards passing and one touchdown.  Nebraska moves to 5-1 on the season, 2-0 in Big Ten play.  #JYPREDICTION:  Nebraska

#23Wisconsin (home) vs. #19Northwestern (away):  If you watch the show “Big Ten Journey” on the Big Ten Network you will see how detailed the Wisconsin Badgers are in film room.  After watching Northwestern game against Ohio State in the film room, the Badgers felt they could run the football and beat up on Nothwestern with that huge frontline.  Wisconsin theory proved to be correct and they ran over, through, and around the Northwestern Wildcats winning the game 35-6.  Melvin Gordon III rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown, and James White added 101 yards to go along with a touchdown to lead Wisconsin’s rushing attack.  Badgers QB joel Stave passed for 241 yards and three touchdown, but did get intercepted twice by Wildcat defenders.  Northwestern played flat, really seemed unfocused for this game in Madison, Wisconsin.  Wildcat QB Trevor Siemian passed for 163 yards.  Wisconsin is 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in Big Ten play.      #JYPREDICTION:  Northwestern
