Yet again, the Big Ten will be host to a fantastic matchup, as Northwestern will travel to Wisconsin. Find out who we think will win that game, and some of the others in the Big Ten, in our weekly preview!

Indiana (away) vs. Michigan State (home): Indiana was impressive last week in their win over Iowa. The Hoosiers have a high powered offense that can put points on the scoreboard fast. Indiana QB Nate Sudfeld has been pretty efficient this season passing for 1467 yards and 13 touchdowns with only six interceptions. However, on Saturday, Sudfeld will face one of the best defenses in the country on the road at Michigan State. Against Iowa the Hoosiers played tough defensively. Can Indiana bring that same energy defensively two weeks in a row? Michigan State QB Connor Cook is now the main guy and will be leading the Spartans offensively this weekend. It’s a new energy inside the Michigan State locker room with Cook. I expect another solid game from Cook this weekend, and defensively I’m predicting Michigan State slows down Indiana. #JYPREDICTION: Michigan State

#18 Michigan (away) vs. Penn State (home): After last week win over Minnesota, I applauded Michigan QB Devin Gardner for playing to his strengths. Gardner stayed in the pocket, passed the football to his receivers to make plays, and gave the football to Fitzgerald Toussaint to gain some big rushing yards. Gardner watched film, and probably saw himself doing too much. Denard Robinson (NFL Jacksonville Jaguars) has graduated, and Gardner’s skill set is different from that of Robinson. This weekend against Penn State, if Devin Gardner can play the QB position to his strength, it will put the Wolverines in a great position to win. Penn State freshmen QB Christen Hackenberg has played beyond his years. Hackenberg leadership is the most impressive to me, and his confidence increases each and every game. Defensively Penn State is physical, but Michigan has too many weapons. I believe this will be a close game; the Nittany Lions are tough to beat at home. Michigan has more talent on both sides of the football and that will be the difference in this game at Happy Valley. #JYPREDICTION: Michigan

Nebraska (away) vs. Purdue (home): Nebraska played like the dominant team we have known the Corn Huskers to be last week against Illinois. Nebraska shut down a great player in Illinois QB Nathan Sheelhaase, and offensively RB Ameer Abdullah is playing extremely well with tons of confidence. Purdue is rebuilding and they have shown some bright spots with this young football team. Head Coach Darrell Hazell may start freshmen QB Danny Etling against Nebraska to gain the experience he needs to become a better leader for the future of this Boilermaker team. Akeem Hunt has been dynamic all season. He is very similar to Northwestern All-American RB Venric Mark. While growing pains are tough and can hurt right now, expect great things from Purdue in the future. #JYPREDICTION: Nebraska

#23 Wisconsin (home) vs. #19 Northwestern (away): Northwestern outplayed Ohio State last week, but the Buckeyes played championship football and made plays to pull off the win. Wisconsin also played Ohio State tough in Columbus but fell short at the end. This is the game of the week in the Big Ten, and you will be watching two opponents who are very similar to each other. Offensively, Wisconsin runs the football extremely well. The Badgers front line is huge and physical. They open holes up for Melvin Gordon III and James White, also do a good job of protecting QB Joel Stave. Defensively Wisconsin wears opponents down and does a great job of getting three and outs to give their offense the football. Northwestern has All-American RB Venric Mark back and healthy. With Mark and RB Trevon Green, it gives Northwestern an opportunity to gain huge yards, and then open up that passing game for QB Trevor Siemian and Kain Colter. The Wildcats love to score points with their defense and force turnovers. This game will be another “barn-burner” and could very well go into overtime. Once the smoke clears in this big time match-up, I’m picking Northwestern to prevail. #JYPREDICTION: Northwestern
