1. Scott Norton Sets Gay Rights History– Gay Rights Equality is at an all time high, after a few states passed legal Gay Marriage during the elections in November. However, the sports world is still an area where it is hard to find an open gay athlete while playing. A handful of former athletes have come out after retirement, but no one has been out in their prime. That could change now, and it is a Professional Bowler who made the history. Scott Norton recently won the 2012 PBA Chameleon Championship in November, and it aired on ESPN on Sunday. After the win, he was greeted with a kiss and hug from his husband, showing the first ever all male kiss in sports history. Many of us, myself included, don’t see this as a big deal, but Norton could be thrown into the stoplight for this seemingly innocent moment. I hope he is prepared to do so, and I hope that nothing but positives comes out of it.

2. One Direction Gets A New Member– Earlier this season, Pepsi came out with a great commercial combining boy band One Direction, and Saints Quarterback Drew Brees. In it, Brees and Harry fight over the last Pepsi in the machine. The two battle back and forth, with Brees eventually getting the Pepsi in return for a tryout for the team. That was funny enough, but over the weekend, Pepsi released a second ending, one that had me in stitches. Check it out below.
