In 2005 when the Olympic committee decided to no longer recognize baseball as an Olympic sport, the World Baseball Classic was born. This international exhibition game was originally held in 2006 and again in 2009 with the intention of being held every four years thereafter.

Twenty-eight countries are slated to compete in this year’s exhibition beginning March 2nd and ending March 21st. The game intends to merge the best of both professional and amateur players across the world. The odds on offer at Bwin around that time will certainly have the punters talking about who they are backing.”
