1. Aldon Smith’s Donation– Aldon Smith is having a Defensive Player of the Year worthy season, notching 19.5 sacks so far this season. He is just three sacks away from tying Michael Strahan’s single season record, and if you needed a reason to pull for Smith, here it is. Smith has pledged to donate $5,099 to the SF Boys & Girls Club for each sack that he’s registered this season.  As if this wasn’t admirable enough, Smith is only due to make a shade over $1 million this year from this rookie contract.  Smith deserves a ton of credit for this, and despite the fact that he’s ravaged Drew Brees a few times already in his career, I’m now a permanent Aldon Smith fan.

2.  Knowshon’s Amazing Leap– Football players are so athletic these days that it seems like every single week, there is in incredible play like this. Earlier today, Knowshon Moreno helped lead Denver to their 9th straight victory on the season, and this play had a big part in firing up his team. Moreno broke into the secondary on a run, and had a future hall of famer, Ed Reed in his way. Rather then trying to go around, or through Reed, he elected instead to go up. Check it out below.
