Don’t you just love funny athletes. Think about it. Peyton Manning is one of the biggest fan favorite athletes on the planet, due in large part to his hilarious commercials and great SNL show. You also have a guy like Shaquille O’Neal, who may not be the best actor in the world, but is still always good for a funny sound byte. Well get ready to add Roy Hibbert to the list. Yeah that’s right: Roy Hibbert.
For those of you who don’t know who he is, Hibbert is the starting center for the Indiana Pacers. The former UConn Husky had a break out season last year, making his first all star team. But if you see the name or recognize the face, but it’s not because of basketball, it may be because of his appearance on the hit comedy show Parks and Recreation. Hibbert and Detlef Schrempf are hired by Tom and Jean-Ralphio to play basketball in their business building. Check that out below.

Well now, Hibbert has once again stepped into the pop culture spotlight, jumping on the “Gangnam Style” bandwagon. Last week, Hibbert took part in a flash mob at a local mall, and stole the show with his incredible suit, and impressive movies. Check it out below.

What do you think of Hibbert’s moves? Is he the next “funny” sports star? I think he has a great shot at it. He clearly can laugh at himself, which is often the biggest factor in the egotistical world of sports. It’s nice to have a refreshing athlete like Hibbert. Keep it up sir.
