Tim Duncan is one of the greatest players of all time. Were it not for a pair of Lakers named Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, he may be considered the best player since Michael Jordan. I know that sounds crazy for a guy who’s not flashy and just does the basics, but Duncan has 3 rings(and may be adding a 4th this year), and two MVP trophies. However, not even the greats are immune to alittle embarrassment, and that happened last night against the Clippers. Caron Butler drove baseline, and had a clear path to the basket. Duncan tried to get in the way, but was a step too late, and now he has his picture on a poster.

The play itself was fantastic, but mattered little in the end, as the Spurs dominated the Clippers for a second straight game. I love how Duncan hangs his head in shame, and tries to play off a shoulder injury after.  I’m pretty sure the Spurs are sweeping this series. They are just a level above the Clippers at this point.  I think the Thunder are the only team that can beat the Spurs at this point. If the Heat are fortunate enough to make it to the Finals, they will need a healthy Chris Bosh in order to compete with the veteran Spurs.

What are your thoughts on the Spurs? Who can beat them in the playoffs this year? Let us know in the comments!
