Play of the Day: Sellers Dives Into the Stands

Justin Sellers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the biggest surprises so far this year in the major leagues.  They are sitting at 24-11, the best record in the MLB, and it is large part to great hustle plays by guys like Justin Sellers.  Yesterday, against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Sellers did his best Derek Jeter impersonation when he hustled to get a fly ball in foul territory.  Sellers made the catch, but wasn’t able to stop his momentum, running him into the front row of the stands. Check it out here.

I’m not sure what to think of the Dodgers right now. It’s so early in the season still, so it’s hard to say that they will keep this up. Having said that, they are already 6 games ahead of the 2nd palce Giants, meaning that if the Dodgers can slowly extend this lead, they will be able to run away with the division.

What do you guys think of the play and the Dodgers this year? Let us know in the comments!
