We mentioned it earlier, but in case you missed it, there was a huge comeback in the NHL playoffs yesterday. The Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins started out the festivities, and if you didn’t know, these two teams don’t like each other. In a game earlier this year, the two teams got in a huge fight as time was winding down. So needless to say, this was going to be an exciting start.

It looked for a while that it would be a blowout. The home Penguins got off to a huge start, scoring three goals in the first period. The Flyers were able to get one back in the second, and stormed back with two in the third! When it went to overtime, all the momentum was with the visiting Flyers, and Jakub Voracek capitalized on it, getting a game winning goal to break the Penguins backs early on in the series.

Now the Penguins are a veteran team, led by the likes of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.  They won’t be as shaken by this collapse as some will be, but it still is a huge blow to their Stanley Cup efforts. Will the Penguins be able to bounce back for game 2? Let us know what you think in the comments.
