Hope all our readers are having a good Sunday. Today’s play of the day is the big story from yesterday in the baseball world. Philip Humber was a relatively unknown pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, until he pitched the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history yesterday against the Seattle Mariners. You can catch the last out of the game below. Skip to the 2:50 mark if you want to go straight to the out and celebration. Enjoy.
A controversial ending, as some have said it wasn’t a swing threw, but for my money, it looks like a legit play. No hitter’s aren’t that uncommon, but perfect games are hard to come by. Congrats to Mr. Humber on his great game!
Do you think we will see another perfect game this year? Let us know in the comments!
