Well congratulations go out to Russell Westbrook! You are the first player to make sportsinvasion’s play of the day three times! Next time we meet up, I’ll give you your trophy. But in all seriousness, Westbrook is having a career year, and his play as of late is the reason why I think the Thunder are the favorites to win it all  (yes even over the heat). Last night, Kevin Durant was leading a break when he showed that he can make a pass or two himself. It was an alley oop to Westbrook, and even though the pass was behind, Westbrook did his best Blake Griffin impersonation, and threw down this nasty slam. Take a look.

Seriously, how does a POINT GUARD have that kind of hops. Westbrook is one of the most underrated athletes in the game. He could play the one-three position, and is one of the most dangerous weapons in the game. He could be due for a huge contract elsewhere when he’s a free agent, but if he wants rings, he needs to stay in OKC.

What do you think of the play? Was there a better one last night? Let us know in the comments!
